Dad's Diary June 26 and 27

June 26
1934 - Shot Archie's bow and arrow. Saw Chee chie-boo and found her knife. It is trying to clear up at bad time. (I have Dad's little carved canoe that Archie made for him - it was one of Dad's treasured items -m)

1935 - Batching with Hi Smith. Making out time slips. Hot, called up Slim at Mt. Wilson.

1936 - Caught 18 fish in the creek this evening. Folks went to Gresham. (This was probably strawberry picking time in the valley - m)

1937 - Walt, Amiel and I fished up at Mill Creek. I caught 22. We ate supper at Walt's.

1938 - Was hot today. Just laid around. Wrote home and to Bill Smith.

June 27
1934 - Got up early this AM. Working on time slips. Buck, Jack and I went hunting. Rain. Lost some pencils.

1935 - Took in the time slips. Ate dinner with Kay down at the hous.e It is good to see her again. Came back to camp with Chas. T.

1936 - Put rings on our chickens. Caught 13 fish in the creek.

1937 - Fished up Shitike. Caught 16 small ones. Rhoans, Whites and us at supper down the falls.

1938 - Worked on the head gates. Charlie was over with his 1938 V8 pick-up. Went to agency for jar rings.
