2010 - The weather was nice at Warm Springs, quite warm. HOG rider still recovering. Our daughter drove over the Cascades to Portland, it was snowy, but not quite ready for chains. I attended a Tribal Education Committee meeting where we scheduled someone to attend the Chemawa celebration - see it mentioned below as well.
Dad's Diary:
1934 - Had a dance and then went to Ethel's house.
1935 - Time slips. Kay was up again today. It was a keen day, with lots of sun shine. Kay is a wondewrful improvement over last year's case.
1936 - 4T - 72" Snowed all morning. Didn't get home till 6 PM today. Big celebration starts at Chemaa today.
1937 - Tore down my tent and packed up the lumber. Arnold & I saw "Call of the Wild." Was good.
1938 - Bart & family left this afternoon. Was warm but cloudy.

2010 - The weather was beautiful at Warm Springs. It was in the mid-50's, sunny, but the HOG rider was not quite well, so no riding today.
1934 - Cloudy & cold. Old Mill ball team came down and got beat.
1935 - John & I went to Agency. I got my Recap. Called up Kay at Old Mill. Am going to stay with Birdleggs tonite. (Years ago, my dad saw a clipping about an Indian man who passed away. I don't remember his 'real' name, but my dad said it was Birdleggs - m)
1936 - Made out the time slips for Wallace today. Snowed again. Did a little bead work. Saw Ed Forest.
1937 - Kay went to the show. So Fat & I went up to Dan's. Nice weather.
1938 - Cleared up today and a lot of snow melted. We washed.

2010 - The weather at Warm Springs started out clear and 42 degrees at 6 AM. Later it started raining, but is still warm. We went to breakfast with my brother and sis-in-law.
1934 - Mark came up. Gave all males in camp a going over.
1935 - John & I returned today. Got stuck twice. Sure is good to see Kay again. She came up to see me after supper, wainting for the doc.
1936 - 4 T 74" - Pretty mild day today. Baby got some clothes from his great grandpa in The Dalles. Fell down today.
1937 - Bob Jackson stayed with us today. Nice weather for this time of the year. Took a bath.
1938 - Walked out to Bob's for my fan belt but I guess I lost it. Got there in time to snub for Charley. Rode horse back.
What does this mean: Kay is a wondewrful improvement over last year's case.
